Product Description
The back pressure is diverted directly before the throttle valve. Since the valve in our system is located after the intercooler, only cold air is circulated. In many engines, the diverter valve is positioned before the intercooler as standard, meaning only hot, uncooled air is circulated.
The standard valve is installed directly in the turbocharger and is usually damaged over time by the constant exposure to heat, causing it to leak.
A leaking valve leads to reduced responsiveness and power loss, which in most cases is not noticed immediately because the damage is gradual and does not occur suddenly. As a result, one becomes accustomed to the worsening responsiveness and the power loss.
The conversion kit allows the valve to be relocated to a cooler area, which has the advantage of preventing heat-related damage and allowing cooler air to be returned to the intake system. The cooler the air, the higher its density, and the higher the density, the better the cylinder filling, resulting in increased performance.
